Gaston Community College serves the County with campuses in Lincolnton and next door in Dallas, NC. The college serves as both an excellent choice of higher education and as the primary provider of workforce training. The University of North Carolina at Charlotte offers a vast array of opportunities for those seeking a traditional four-year education just a short drive from Lincoln County. With more than 25,000 students, The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is the fourth-largest university of the 16 institiutions within North Carolina’s statewide university system.
UNC Charlotte offers 18 doctoral degrees, 62 master’s degrees and 90 bachelor’s degrees.
